Philipp Molter studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart and the EPFL in Lausanne and graduated “excellent” in 2005. As a student he worked for Massimiliano Fuksas in Paris where he turned back after his studies to work on international projects. Between 2006 and 2010 he worked as an architect at Renzo Piano Building Workshop on the St. Giles project a mixed-use development in the center of London. After its completion, Philipp founded his own studio in 2010 and realized award winning projects in cooperative partnership with studio akkerhuis. Since 2009 he is lecturer and research associate at the Department of Envelope Constructions at the Technical University Munich where his research and teaching focuses on adaptive façade structures and their thermal and environmental performance.
